2016-05-19 State QualifiersThe following Boys qualified for the IHSA State Championship meet:

  • Ryan Skibinski – 100m Dash – 2nd place, 4x200m Relay – 1st place

  • Justin Taormina – 100m Dash – 3rd place, 200m Dash – 3rd place, 4x200m Relay – 1st place, Long Jump – 3rd place

  • Brian Kuehl – 800m Run – 2nd place

  • Tyler Dau – 1600m Run – 2nd place

  • Josh Rodgers – 3200m Run – 1st place

  • Donny Friedel – 4x200m Relay – 1st place

  • Zeke Buck – 4x200m Relay – 1st place

  • John Boenzi – Shot Put – 1st place

Video Camera IconSince DyestatIL is now charging a membership fee to view all of their videos, I decided to create my own.  I tried to capture EVERY Geneva runner from the 2016 Upstate Eight Boys Conference meet.  Unfortunately, my battery started to fail towards the end and I had to skip a few races.  Please enjoy what I was able to capture!

(I’m sorry Ladies, I was planning to do the same for the Girls Sectional Meet, but due to unexpected issues, I was not able to attend)

Hey all, it’s Krista (Jordan, Sydney & David’s mom) Andersen,

I work at the Geneva Chamber of Commerce.  If any of you or your kids are looking to earn GIVE hours (and after going through scholarship applications this year we realized how much these people look for that!) I have something the whole family can get involved in.

We are offering a 5k during Swedish Days this summer on Saturday morning (partnering with Geneva Running Outfitters), June 25th and I need lots of help at the race that morning. You would be placed along the race route for various jobs like handing waters out etc.

It’s 6:30am-9:30am and I will give each a volunteer t-shirt. I would just need the attached waiver filled out and sent back to me.

Let me know as soon as possible if you or any family member 13years+ is interested.
