The Geneva Boys Track & Field team finished in third overall out of 15 teams!

Congratulations to the three girls that qualified for the State Championship meet on May 20, 2017:

• Sophia McDonnel – 1st place in 3200m Run (11:19.47)
• Georgia Reed – 1st place in 300m Hurdles (45.36)
• Kristin Higgins – 1st place in High Jump (5′ 5″)

It was a big weekend for the Geneva Boys at the Eastern Relays in Louisville, KY.  The team battled cold, wind and rain to put in some great performances.  There were many great races, but some of the highlights were:

• Matt Hoskins placing 1st in the ‘Open 1 Mile Run’ with a time of 4:39.04
• Ben Ramage, Andrew Olenek, Nate Walinder and Dave Creger placing 3rd in the ‘1600m Sprint Medley Relay’
• Brian Kuehl, Evan Rutledge, Scott Creger and Cole Montgomery placing 2nd (missing 1st place by 0:00.29) in the ‘Distance Medley Relay’
• Tyler Dau placing 4th in the ‘3200m Run’ with a time of 9:16.44 (breaking the School Record!)
• Jacob Uhlman placing 4th in the ‘Shot Put’ with a throw of 41′ 3.50″
• Elliott Gleamza placing 5th in the ‘Discus’ with a throw of 116′ 6″
• Nate Walinder placing 4th in the ‘Open 400m Dash’ with a time of 55.50
• Aidan Carr Clennon placing 4th in the ‘Open 800m Run’ with a time of 2:08.50
• Brian Kuehl, Cole Montgomery, Scott Creger and Dave Creger placing 3rd in the ‘4x800m Relay’
• Tyler Dau placing 2nd in the ‘1 Mile Run’ with a time of 4:23.11
• Brian Kuehl placing 1st in the ‘800m Run’ with a time of 1:54.89

Tyler Dau broke Geneva’s School Record in the 3200m Run with a time of 9:16.44. 

The previous record was set by Andrew Nelson with a time of 9:16.59 in 2009.
